This application is for those priests and deacons who have been ordained in a diocese other than the ADGL, in the ACNA, are in Good Standing, are NOT transferring their orders to the ADGL but wish to serve within the ADGL. Please note the following:
You must first receive permission from your current bishop to be able to function as a clergy in the ADGL at one of our parishes.
Once you have received permission, your bishop must write a letter granting permission for you to be able to be a licensed resident clergy in the ADGL. To submit your permission letter from your bishop, please click here.
If conducting ministry, you must have a parish to which you will be assigned. Your parish will need to send a letter to the bishop of the ADGL asking permission for you to be assigned to the parish as well as advising the ADGL what your roles and responsibilities will be within the parish.
Once the ADGL has received the necessary paperwork, and you have been approved by the bishop, you will be issued a license. The license will be good for three (3) years. After those three (3) years expire, you will need to reapply for licensing.
All licensed clergy are required to be up to date in Ministry Safe Training. If you have not taken Ministry Safe training in the last 2 years, you will be required to do so.
